AOAMI Committee StructureExecutive CommitteeThe executive committee shall consist of the president, president-elect, secretary-treasurer, and the immediate past-president. Membership CommitteeThe membership committee shall consist of a member of the Board of Trustees acting as chair and two (2) members, at large, from the active membership. The chair shall be appointed by the president. The committee shall meet by electronic means as necessary to accommodate membership applications. The membership committee shall bring forth the names of new members to the annual Board of Trustees meeting for approval. Education TeamThe education committee shall consist of a member of the Board of Trustees acting as chair and two (2) members, at large, from the active membership. The chair shall be appointed by the president. The committee shall meet, as needed, by electronic means for the purposes of developing and instituting an educational meeting to be held at the annual Academy meeting. Two members of the committee shall be granted compensation, if needed, to evaluate the venue of the meeting to assure adequate space available for said meeting. The committee shall endeavor to secure appropriate speakers in the field of medical informatics. The committee shall coordinate the educational program with the AOA Division of Continuing Medical Education to assure the Academy membership educational programs will be awarded appropriate CME credits. Credentials CommitteeThe credentials committee shall consist of a member of the Board of Trustees acting as Chair and two (2) members, at large, from the active membership. The chair shall be appointed by the president. The committee shall meet at the Academy annual meeting for the purposes of evaluating the applicants for the awarding of a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ), Certificate of Special Qualification (CSQ), or Certification of Completion. The credentials committee shall develop and administer either a written examination, an oral examination, or other means of determining adequate understanding and skill in medical informatics. |
